Full Degree Visa for students in the US

If you are doing a full degree program in Australia you need to contact the Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) Office to request a Student Visa Packet. You cannot use the "apply on-line" system. To receive the forms you will need to give DIMIA officials the following information:

Your Name
Your Address
Length of Program in Australia (months and years)
Instution in Australia
Type of program (Undergraduate Degree, Graduate Degree, etc)
Your phone number

You can either email the details to the DIMIA office

If you are not from an Assessment Level 1 or 2 Country (click here to obtain information about the Country Assessment Level Table) you will need to sit for IELTS (English Language Proficiency exam). Please plan in advance for having to take this exam and contact the local IELTS office for test centers near you. Results from the IELTS exam must be sent in with your student visa application.
