The course deals with the relatively new, but rapidly growing field of environmental engineering. It examines some of the impacts on the environment caused by traditional mining, civil and industrial engineering practices. A series of on-site case studies will illustrate some of the challenges in environmental engineering and the way these challenges have been met in Australia.
