Description:
Students will learn how to manage the environment in regard to opportunities, rights and responsibilities of the tourism industry. At the end of the course, students will have gained experience in determining tourism values of aquatic and terrestial ecology, methods of assessment, and the impacts of tourism activities with appropriate courses of action. Work placements will be sought from numerous environmental tourism operators. The course combines seminars, field studies, workshop presentations, student presentations and work placements to give an overall view of tourism's effect on the Australian natural environment.
