Greetings from the ASANA Board at the outset of the 1996-1997 academic year.
We want to bring a few items to your attention and encourage you to keep us
informed about your activities during the coming year. We are going to make
an attempt to be a little more dynamic at keeping in touch this year and
will need your news, so that we can share information with the membership. (9 Sep 96)
The 1997 ASANA Conference is scheduled for Georgetown University, Washington, DC for February 21-22. The ASANA Board is putting the finishing touches on the program and will be in touch soon with a Call for Papers. (9 Sep 96)
John Wells, who usually runs the ASANA secretariat from the Australian Education Office in Washington is trading places for two months with Bronwyn Ives, of the
University of Tasmania in Hobart. We welcome Bron who is already working
with the Board to get the 1997 conference organized. (9 Sep 96)
Henry and Nan Albinski of Penn State returned to University Park after 15
months on sabbatical in Australia, first in Canberra and then at Curtin
University in Perth. (9 Sep 96)
