Weekend symposium cosponsored by the Smithsonian Resident Associates Program, NZ Embassy, and US/NZ Council. Held at the NZ Embassy. Fee.

23 September
"One Hundred Years a Nation: Australia Looks to 2001"
Lecture by Sir Zelman Cowen, former Australian Governor General. Distinguished Lecture Series, sponsored by Melbourne University.
5:30 in ICC Auditorium, followed by reception in ICC Gallery. Free. Private dinner afterward.

"The Biotechnology Revolution and World Health"
Lecture by Sir Gustav Nossal, world famous immunologist.
Co-sponsored by GU Medical School and Melbourne University. No fee.
