Purpose of The Guide
We are pleased that you have decided to study in Australia. Whether you are going for a semester, an academic year, or a full degree, studying in Australia can be a great academic and personal experience. This book has been written to help you make the most of your experience.
By taking some time to read this book, we think that you can prepare yourself for your study experience. The following pages include a brief outline of Australian history, information on the current events and an outline of the different states/regions in Australia. Finally, there is an overview of the education system.
This book is intended to provide a brief overview and does not take the place of any program specific orientation materials you may be provided. You may also want to consider looking for some of the other recommended texts and websites if you find a topic that interests you more.
